Telugu Desam Party national secretary and present IT Minister Nara Lokesh popularised ‘Red Book’ during his Yuvagalam Padayatra in the run up to the 2024 assembly elections. During his road shows and meetings, Lokesh carried a red book all the way with him and warned the delinquent bureaucrats and police officers who were toeing the line with the YSR Congress party high command and harassing the leaders and followers of Telugu Desam Party.
Lokesh threatened that stern action will be taken on those officers and YSRCP leaders once the TDP returns to power in 2024. He said the names of wrongdoers were being noted in the red book to look into their irregularities and atrocities at an appropriate time by use of law. Now that the NDA government led by Chandrababu Naidu assumed power, all those errant officers and aggressive YSRCP leaders who tried to create hurdles in the last five years.
Ever since the NDA came to power in June this year, the YSR Congress party cadre has been making a lot of hue and cry that ‘Red Book’ rule is being enforced by the government. They alleged many of its leaders and supporters are being attacked at the behest of Lokesh’s instructions.
Now, former Irrigation Minister and prominent YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu said he will start a ‘Green Book’ as a counter to Nara Lokesh’s ‘Red Book’. Rambabu said he will start writing a Green Book to use it after the YSRCP returns to power in the coming years.
Rambabu welcomed the Supreme Court’s directions in the Tirupati Laddu prasadam controversy. He fired that CBN’s government is resorting to diversion politics to hide its inefficiencies and failures in the last three months.
