In a major setback to the YSRCP, a Guntur court has remanded YSRCP social media convener Venkata Ramireddy for 14 days for posting posts against the Andhra Pradesh state government. He was arrested by the police on November 4 for posting objectionable posts on social media against the NDA government, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and top TDP leaders.

He was accused of spreading misinformation against the government and ministers. To this end, Venkata Ramireddy was produced before the court on Wednesday by the Nagarampalem police. With this, the court has remanded the YSRCP leader for 14 days.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and CM Chandrababu Naidu came under fire over social media misinformation in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. The cabinet held a lengthy discussion on this issue.

Pawan raised a discussion in the cabinet meeting that YSRCP leaders were spreading false propaganda on social media platforms. He said that they are spreading malicious campaigns against the state government, CM Chandrababu and Deputy CM.

He also accused them of spreading false  propaganda against ministers and also women at home of spreading false propaganda. He was furious that some policemen were also supporting YCP leaders. Pawan expressed his anger that even the police officers did not pay attention to him when he complained about this.

He was furious that some SPs did not respond even when he called them himself. He accused them of making excuses against their lower-level officers and getting away with it.

Responding to this, CM Chandrababu Naidu told Pawan that the police system would be cleansed within a month. He said that the smell of YCP has not gone away yet and everything needs to be set. He told the Deputy CM that they should be discussed and put in the groove.

In this context, the state government, which has become serious, is ready to take action against such officers. To this end, the state government has transferred Kadapa SP Harshavardhan Raju and suspended the OCI of the district.

Varra Ravindra Reddy from Kadapa posted obscene language on social media against Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and Home Minister Anitha. The Kadapa police registered a case and arrested him on Tuesday evening after Pawan Kalyan became serious.

Later, they issued a 41A notice and released him. However, they did not hand over Ravindra Reddy to the Rajampet police who came to the Kadapa police station to arrest him in another case, but they released him directly. When the matter came to the attention of the state government, action was taken against them.
