The notification for the Kadapa ZP Chairman election will be issued in a few hours. Although the YSRCP has the largest ZPTC strength numerically, it seems that the party high command has taken steps to shift members to camps as a precautionary measure.
It is reported that the YSRCP is being very careful not to give the TDP a chance like in the 2017 MLC elections. The notification for the election will be issued on Sunday in the context of the Kadapa Zilla Parishad Chairman election being held on the 27th of this month. There are 50 ZPTC members in the joint Kadapa district, and except for one, the remaining 49 are from the YSRCP.
Akepati Amarnath Reddy was the ZP Chairman until 9 months ago. However, in the recent general elections, he resigned from his post and contested as the Rajampet MLA and won. With this, Saradamma has been the in-charge ZP chairman for 9 months.
However, in the wake of the recent release of the schedule for the issuance of the notification by the Election Commission, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy recently announced that Brahmangari Matham Mandal ZPTC Ramagovind Reddy will enter the fray on behalf of the YSRCP.
However, it is reported that an informal agreement has been made to give Rs 20 lakh each to the remaining members so that they do not feel disappointed. It is known that Ramagovind Reddy has distributed Rs 5 lakh each to all the members as the first installment.
With the recent death of the Pulivendula ZPTC and the victory of the Ontimitta ZPTC Akepati, there are currently 48 members. Among them, the ZPTC from Gopavaram Mandal won from the TDP. Another five or six YSRCP members have recently joined the alliance.
Meanwhile, the party leaders are counting that the current strength of the YSRCP is only 39. It seems that the party has decided to ensure that the existing members do not slip away. It is reported that the YSRCP members were planned to be moved to camps as a precaution.
It seems that after participating in the banquet program to be held in Vempalle on the 23rd of this month, they have decided to move them to camps in Bangalore or Hyderabad from there. Efforts are being made to bring them directly to Kadapa on the 27th of this month.
On the other hand, many are discussing that the Rs. 15 lakhs that should be given to the members as per the agreement of Ramagovind Reddy, who is aspiring for the chairmanship, have not yet been given, and many are discussing that there is despondency in the YSRCP ranks.
