In several constituencies key YCP leaders are facing challenges from their own family members or close relatives. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself faced havoc with the strong opposition from his own sister YS Sharmila and cousin sister Dr Sunitha in Kadapa district. Both of them are aggressively campaigning seeking to end `Jagan’s rule’.
Moreover, YS Sharmila is contesting from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat against her cousin brother and sitting MP YS Avinash Reddy, who is close and confident associate of CM Jagan. Both the sisters accused CM Jagan of fielding a `murderer’ as his Lok Sabha candidate.
Deputy Chief Minister Narayanaswamy is facing problems from his nephew Ramesh Babu, who is speaking openly about the his attitude of anarchy in Gangadhara Nellore of Chittoor district. Ramesh left YSRCP and joined Congress and contesting against him in the same constituency.
Irrigation minister Ambati Rambabu, the vocal supporter of CM Jagan against opposition parties criticisms, is facing an embarrassing position after his former son-in-law Dr Gautham, who released a video message making severe accusations against the minister. He appealed to people not to vote for Rambabu.
Deputy Chief Minister Boodi Mutyalanaidu, who is contesting from Anakapalli Lok Sabha seat, is facing severe criticism from his own son Ravikumar. Mutyalanaidu presently Madugula MLA and this time his second wife daughter is contesting from here as YCP candidate. Protesting father’s decision, first wife’s son Ravikumar is now contesting as an independent candidate from the same constituency.
YCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas, who is contesting from Tekkali to the assembly is facing a problem from his own wife Vani. Earlier as she complained about husband, chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy removed Srinivas as constituency incharge and appointed Vani in that place.
But, she became angry as the chief minister gave the MLA seat to Srinivas, but not to her. When she tried to contest as an independent candidate, YCP leaders interfered and tried to pacify them. As a result, Srinivas has reportedly registered some properties in her name. But gulf with her continuing.
Veteran Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham, who has determined to defeat Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan from Pithapuram assembly seat, is facing revolt from his own daughter Kranti. She has openly opposed father’s political line and extended support to Pawan Kalyan. When she approached Pawan Kalyan to join Jana Sena, he politely advised her to wait till get a nod from her father.
