YSRCP leaders were shocked when the ED without any noise started a probe into politically sensitive AP Liquor Scam and conducted targeted searches in several states at once. They thought that as only the SIT was investigating for so long, there may not be any fear since their scam was international and the thread would be cut somewhere.
But now they are worried as it has become clear that the ED is doing everything it wanted to do without any rush. They are wondering when they will reach them. The ED conducted searches with accurate information, identifying who received the money in the liquor scam and how did they launder it? How many shell companies were set up for it?
Even if one lakh rupees changes hands illegally, the ED can easily detect it. Can’t it detect something like that if thousands of crores are made white? The ED officials have also identified how the entire amount of money reached the mastermind? They have now found out in the searches how the money that was transferred went abroad?
The next round of searches are likely to be conducted on the same issue. The SIT investigation is about to enter a crucial phase. When the case reaches the mastermind `Big Boss’, the ED may also be likely to attack at once and complete the work. It seems that a definite sketch has been made to catch the mastermind of the liquor scam red-handed.
Pushed into confusion, former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and his close associates are holding a series of meetings with lawyers. These meetings are mostly held in Bangalore. Now they have reached Tadepalli. Jagan has reportedly instructed Rajya Sabha member Niranjan Reddy to be vigilant in this matter. YCP leaders are taking precautions as if they were shrugging off a pumpkin thief.
