Soon after the Andhra Pradesh High Court rejected their anticipatory bail application on Wednesday, in the attack on TDP central office case, Mangalagiri rural police started the arrest of YCP leaders. First, they arrested former Bapatla MP Nandigama Suresh in Hyderabad on Wednesday night.

The YCP leaders faced a severe setback from the High Court, after rejecting their anticipatory bail, it also refused to give protection for them for two weeks facilitating approaching the Supreme Court. Soon after, they feared that they may be arrested by police at any time. In fact, the police are waiting for the High Court clearance for arrest.

Devineni Avinash, Nandigam Suresh, Lella Appireddy and Thalashila Raghuram, besides others are accused in the case of attack on TDP office. Jogi Ramesh is an accused in the case of attack on Chandrababu’s residence.

Soon after the High Court verdict, the police went to Nandigam Suresh’s residence in Uddandarayunipalem, Tulluru mandal to arrest him. Tulluru CI Venkateshwarlu along with 15 other personnel reached Suresh’s residence. Suresh, who sensed this before, ran away from there.

After waiting for about 15 minutes, the police turned back when Suresh did not come. It is believed that Suresh has gone into hiding out of fear after the High Court dismissed the anticipatory bail petition. It seems that he ran away from the house after receiving advance information that the police would come.

The police suspecting that Nandigam Suresh may cross the state to avoid police arrest they alerted police in other places also. Finally, they located him near Miyapur in Hyderabad and with the help of local police they arrested him. They are bringing him to Mangalagiri.

Learning that he is trying to escape from Hyderabad also to some other `safe destination’, special police teams were sent to Hyderabad to arrest him.
