YCP Ex MP Gorantla Madhav Given For Two Days police custody

Monday, December 8, 2025

The Guntur court on Monday issued orders to remand YSRCP leader and former MP Gorantla Madhav to police custody for two days. The court had allowed the police to take Gorantla Madhav into custody on April 23 and 24. Though the Nagarampalem police had requested the court to grant him five days of custody, the Guntur court had ordered to remand Gorantla Madhav for only two days.

It is known that Gorantla Madhav is currently a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry jail. Recently, Chebrol Kiran Kumar made objectionable comments in a video against YSRCP leader and former CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s wife YS Bharathi. With this, the TDP expressed strong objection to the comments made by Chebrol Kiran Kumar.

In this context, he was suspended from the Telugu Desam Party. The government has ordered the Guntur district police to arrest him immediately. In this context, the police arrested him and are bringing him to Guntur. Upon learning of this, YSRCP leader and former MP Gorantla Madhav chased the vehicle carrying Chebrolu Kiran.

Moreover, Chebrolu attacked Kiran. In this context, the police detained Gorantla Madhav. After that, he was taken to Nallapadu Police Station. From there, he was shifted to Nagaram Palem Police Station. Later, he was produced in court and the court remanded him. With this, Gorantla Madhav is in Rajahmundry jail.

On the other hand, during the previous YSRCP government, TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his family as well as Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan and his family were severely criticized. But the then Jaganmohan Reddy government did not respond to these. Moreover, the sin of condemning such comments as wrong did not go away.

With this, the voters gave their answer to that party during the last year’s elections through their right to vote. But the Chandrababu government is moving forward working towards the self-respect of women. With this, the arrest of Chebrolu Kiran Kumar and the suspension of him are a direct example of the TDP not holding back from punishing even a person from its own party.
