Yanamala Slams Jagan, Sakshi Resorted To `Contempt of Assembly’

TDP politburo member and former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu alleged that YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his family’s Sakshi news paper reported to `Contempt of Assembly’ by distorting the white paper presented in the assembly.

He warned that action will be taken against those who distort the information of the legislatures. He said that YCP leaders whose pockets are filled with money that should go to the state exchequer are unable to digest when the facts are revealed.

Yanamala Ramakrishna deplored that the YSRCP government has emptied the treasury in five years and now it is outrageous to talk without any sense. He said that there is much evidence to show how Jaganmohan Reddy has destroyed the state in many ways.

Ridiculing his dharna in New Delhi, he alleged that Jagan went to Delhi for political rehabilitation. He wondered if they were asking for an impossible opposition status, but running away from the assembly.

He said Jagan’s attempt to go to court is only a drama as everyone knows that courts will not interfere in the affairs of the Legislative Assembly. He accused that  Jagan was responsible for reaching a state where he cannot show his face to the people or even in the assembly.

Yanamala ridiculed that if the opposition status is given, he will also make it a condition that he will come to the assembly only if he is given the post of chief minister. He advised Jagan the way to get the status of Leader of Opposition. He said let him resign as MLA and contest in the MLC elections from local bodies or teachers or graduates constituencies.

“We have been talking about the issues in the white papers even when we were in the opposition. Why didn’t Jagan, who was the Chief Minister then, hold a media conference on our allegations. Jagan is still going down by saying wrong things about debts’ he added.

Yanamala challenged that Jagan, who is denying debts taken during his term, is ready for an open debate? “It is a fact that the state has received income in the last five years. However, they have brought a debt of Rs. 10 lakh crores. The answer should be given as to whose pockets the income has gone into? Jagan does not have an answer as to how much was brought in, how much was spent, how much growth was achieved?.”  he said.
