Y.S. Sharmila Responds: Defends Against YSRCP’s Allegations on Jagan’s Bail And ED Cases

Sunday, December 22, 2024

The ongoing property dispute between Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the YSRCP leader, and his sister Y.S. Sharmila, the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress, has escalated into a heated confrontation. YSRCP leaders have accused Sharmila of colluding with the TDP to undermine Jagan’s bail. In response, Sharmila dismissed these allegations, calling them “the biggest joke of the century.”

Sharmila pointed out that while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached assets worth ₹32 crores during its investigation, no shares were seized, and there are no restrictions on share transfers. She highlighted that trading on the stock market cannot be blocked by any company, reinforcing her stance against the claims made by YSRCP.

Additionally, Sharmila mentioned that Jagan had signed an agreement granting her a 100% stake in certain assets, questioning whether he was aware that this could potentially complicate his bail. She also raised concerns about the sale of shares from companies like Classic Reality, Saraswati, and Sundoor Power to Vijayamma, asking if they were not aware of the implications for Jagan’s bail status.

Emphasizing that there are no real issues with Jagan’s bail, Sharmila noted that their mother is also aware of this situation. She accused the YSRCP of politicizing the matter, asserting that share transfers have no impact on bail conditions. This family feud highlights the complexities of their political dynamics and the ongoing struggle for power within Andhra Pradesh.
