Will BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appear before the Kaleshwaram Commission for the inquiry? Or not? It has become interesting among political circles. As part of the Kaleshwaram inquiry, Justice PC Ghosh Commission issued notices to KCR along with former ministers Harish Rao and Etala Rajender on Tuesday.
In the wake of the commission ordering KCR to appear for the inquiry on June 5, will he appear personally? Or not, there is a heated debate in political circles. The commission has already questioned several officials, former officials and experts. However, it seems that everyone has said that they have followed only KCR’s decisions.
On the other hand, KCR did not appear when the Electricity Commission gave notices to appear for the inquiry. KCR, who first wrote a letter stating that he would not be able to appear for the inquiry, later approached the High Court seeking the cancellation of the commission.
Not getting relief in the High Court, KCR approached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court objected to holding a press meet during the inquiry stage by Justice L. Narasimha Reddy. It has forced the Revanth Reddy government to replace him with Justice Madan B Lokur in his place after the Supreme Court suggested changing the commission judge.
Justice Madan B Lokur, who took into account the letter written by KCR when Justice L. Narasimha Reddy was the chairman of the commission, prepared a report to that effect and submitted it to the government. However, will KCR write a similar letter and correct the notices given by the Kaleshwaram Commission? Or will he personally appear and explain it? It remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, even though it has been seven months since the Justice Lokur Commission submitted its report, there are criticisms that the Revanth Reddy government is acting as if it has forgotten that this report is in the government. As soon as this report reached the government, a leak was given to the media stating that it will discuss the report in the cabinet and placed in the assembly and strict action will be taken.
Some ministers even made public statements on this. But this report has not been made public yet. The lack of action on this has raised many doubts about the government’s approach.
