Huzurabad BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was granted conditional bail by the Warangal court on Friday, offering relief in the case related to alleged intimidation of a quarry owner. The court rejected the police request for judicial remand and approved bail after hearing arguments from both sides.
Kaushik Reddy was arrested without prior issuance of a notice under Section 41A of the CrPC, a point strongly argued by his legal counsel. Following a medical examination at MGM Hospital, he was presented before the Kazipet Railway Court, where the judge ruled in his favour.
Congress Government Acting Vindictively: BRS Leader Vinod Kumar
Following the court’s decision, former MP and BRS leader B. Vinod Kumar accused the Congress-led Telangana government of acting with political vendetta. Addressing the media along with party leaders, Vinod alleged that false cases are being filed against Kaushik Reddy due to his vocal stance on public issues.
He claimed that the sections in the FIR were deliberately altered in connection with a two-year-old case to implicate the MLA. Vinod stated that despite these “conspiratorial” attempts, justice had prevailed in court. He reaffirmed that BRS leaders would remain among the people and continue to fight for their rights, irrespective of the legal challenges imposed by the ruling government.
