Monday, December 23, 2024

Some of the senior IPS officers, who have been transferred and kept waiting without posting due to their proximity with the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and also became active part of his anarchetic regime, are said to be ignoring DGP’s orders by absenting from their duties.

It may be recalled that DGP asked them to report daily at the Police Headquarters at 10 AM, sign and remain available till the end of the working hours in the evening. This order was reportedly issued after learning that they were not attending office, but busy in performing duties related to their `previous boss’.

Soon after DGP’s orders, former Intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu went on leave from August 14 to 25 and later also he was absent from attending the office. Likewise, former CID chief PV Sunil Kumar also was on leave from August 13 to 20 and since then not attending police headquarters.

DIG Vishal Gunni initially signed the attendance sheet for a few days. But, he has been absent from August 20 till now. SP Tiramaleswar Reddy has been absent since July 29 and SP Anburajan since July 22.

Among the waiting ones, SPs Siddhartha Kaushal and Mary Prashanthi have been absent ever since they reported to the police headquarters. SP G R Radhika has been absent since August 12.

DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao issued memos on 14th of this month to as many as 16 waiting IPSs in the state. He was ordered to report to the headquarters daily. Memos were given to those who were waiting and not available at the headquarters.

The waiting officers without any posting are former Ex-Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneulu, Ex-CID Chief Sunil Kumar, Sanjay, Ex-CP Vijayawada Kantirana Tata, Kolli Raghurami Reddy, Ammireddy, Vijay Rao, Vishal Gunni, Ravi Shankar Reddy, Rishanth Reddy, Raghuveera Reddy, Parameswara Reddy, Joshua, Krishna Kant Patel, Palaraju and Anbhurajan.
