YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy has responded to allegations of an illicit relationship with a woman officer. Speaking to the media, Vijayasai Reddy denounced the accusations as baseless and false propaganda. He expressed anger over the insult directed at the Adivasi woman officer involved and criticized certain media outlets for spreading these stories without seeking his explanation.
Vijayasai Reddy pointed out that YSRCP leaders have faced a series of defamatory attacks since the coalition government came to power. He questioned the logic behind the accusations, asking if he would really engage in an inappropriate relationship with a woman officer seeking help. The woman officer herself has stated that she views Vijayasai Reddy as a father figure.
He alleged a conspiracy aimed at tarnishing his reputation, mentioning that he has previously stood up to powerful figures like Ramoji Rao. He declared his intention to file a defamation suit and present a privilege motion in Parliament, as well as introduce a Private Member’s Bill.
He further mentioned an incident where a TDP leader and a woman came to his house, questioning his whereabouts, which was recorded on CCTV. Vijayasai Reddy asserted that he is not afraid of anyone and expressed confidence in the YSRCP’s return to power, even in the event of mid-term elections. He warned that the YSRCP would take decisive action against those who oppose them and criticized the current coalition government’s rule.
