From the time of his arrest and presently detained in Vijayawada Jail, former MLA and YCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi is said to be threatening police and jail staff warning them that they have to face consequences after YCP returns to power in the state. He has been frequently complaining of several ailments, but the police and jail staff are making it clear that they will act only on doctor’s advice.
At the time of producing him before the Magistrate for remand also he complained of some health problem. In the Jail, he is said to be insisting for a bed alleging back pain. Pressure has been brought on the jail authorities in this regard. However, jail doctors have examined Vamsi and said that he does not need it.
Whatever health problems he has been raising, the jail authorities are expressing helplessness stating that they can take measures only after showing him to doctors. Otherwise, the jail authorities suggested to him that if he needed any particular facility or was facing health problems, he should file a petition in the court.
Earlier, Vamsi had also cursed at the court hall. Vamsi threatened that those who filed a case against him would be washed away. Vamsi had behaved in the same manner with the police also when he was being brought from Hyderabad. When the police tried to arrest him, Vamsi threw up. The police said that he also made comments in the vehicle while coming.
Vamsi has reportedly threatened saying that he knew who had filed the case against him and that they would find out their place as soon as his party came to power. Police officials are discussing Vamsi’s comments, slurs and curses.
Meanwhile, the police have reportedly secured key evidence in Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan kidnap of Satya Vardhan, the complainant in the Gannavaram TDP office vandalism case. The police have collected details of the vehicle that brought Satya Vardhan to the court complex and the people who came in it through CCTV footage.
They have also collected technical evidence on where Satya Vardhan was taken around the city. They have concluded that Vamsi’s followers brought Satya Vardhan that day. As there are a total of 12 accused in this case, special police teams have launched a search operation for the rest. The police have kept an eye on Vamsi’s followers in Gannavaram and Vijayawada.
Meanwhile, Vijayawada CP Rajasekhar Babu has already announced that they have all the evidence. The Patamata police have filed a petition in the Vijayawada 4th ACMM court seeking 10 days’ custody of Vallabhaneni Vamsi. In the petition, the police have requested permission to seize Vamsi’s phone. The petition will be heard on Monday.
