YCP leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is A1 in the Satya Vardhan kidnapping case, seems to be when police questioned him with solid evidence, using Google Takeout maps, on the second day of three-day police custody on Wednesday. He was questioned for about five hours.

Police basically questioned his movements before and after kidnapping Satya Vardhan. Vamsi initially evaded the questions of the investigating officers, saying, “I don’t know… I don’t remember… I forgot…”. As part of the investigation, Central ACP Damodar posed 25 questions.  After Satya Vardhan was sent to Vizag on the 11th, it was found that Vamsi had directly gone to Jaganmohan Reddy’s residence in Tadepalli on the 12th.

As this issue took prime stage on the second day of police custody, it is believed that they are trying to link Vamsi’s attack on Gannavaram TDP office with former CM Jaganmohan Reddy.

After meeting Jagan, Vamsi went to Vizag. When the investigating officers asked why he went to Jagan’s residence, Vamsi tried to hide his visit stating that he did not go there. Only after the police put him before the Google Takeout map, he admitted to have gone there, but denied meeting Jagan.

Although Vamsi’s phone was switched off, the footage of the city’s CCTV cameras along with Google Takeout was examined. Velineni Venkatarama Krishna Prasad and Nimma Lakshmipathi, who are accused in the Satyavardhan case, were also questioned by the police on Wednesday. They admitted during the interrogation that they went to Vizag only after Vamsi told them.

It is learned that Vamsi’s followers Erramsetty Ramanjaneyulu and Etendra Ramakrishna revealed that they acted as they were told. Among them, Lakshmipathi is a relative of Etendra Ramakrishna. He worked as a driver for him for some time.

Lakshmipathi was sent there to be available if a driver was needed to take Satya Vardhan anywhere in Vizag in a car. The police are planning to file an affidavit against Vamsi for not answering the questions asked during the investigation and acting in an evasive manner.

On the other hand, DIG of Prisons Varaprasad Rao conducted a surprise inspection in the district jail. He asked the jail staff about the security of the jail, the quality of food, and the number of prisoners. He learned about the security provided to Vamsi. He inspected the barracks where he was staying. It is reported that facilities have been provided in it as per the court orders.
