An American company Exambil has come forward to set up a polyethylene and polypropylene industry in the state. To this end, it is planning to set up a large industry at a cost of Rs. 83,500 crore on 1250 acres near the Moolapet port in Santhabommali mandal of Srikakulam district.
In this context, a delegation of the Exambil company visited Moolapet and inspected the lands there. A report will be submitted later. Tekkali RDO M. Krishnamurthy explained the local conditions to the delegation of the Exambil company. He said that the government will provide full support and cooperation if the industry is set up.
The company’s team inspected the port construction work underway in Moolapet. Port GM Shankar informed them about the local opportunities through a powerpoint presentation. The GM said that the road and rail connectivity will be favorable for setting up industries here.
There are many opportunities to set up industries in 8 constituencies of Srikakulam district. There are suitable conditions for setting up industries such as dairy products, furniture, plastic, paper plates, agricultural, mineral-based, pharma, cup manufacturing industries, food processing, granite polishing, etc.
Industrialists who have the idea and interest of setting up an industry are completing the necessary process within 21 days without having to go around offices. On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government is taking many steps to develop the North Andhra region. In this regard, it is encouraging many companies to invest in Visakhapatnam.
It is known that the Tata Group has already come forward to set up a TCS campus in Visakhapatnam. Land has also been allotted for it. Similarly, a Lulu Mall is also coming to Visakhapatnam. Lulu Group is showing interest in investing in the state. In this context, the Lulu Group has expressed its readiness to set up a Lulu Mall in Visakhapatnam.
Recently, Cognizant has also announced that it will set up a campus in Visakhapatnam. It has been said that it will provide jobs to 8,000 people by setting up a campus in Visakhapatnam.
