It has become a habit of the YCP ranks to target opposition leaders and spread evil propaganda on social media. In the past, TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh and other leaders were targeted for fake propaganda. As the elections are nearing, the YCP sources have reportedly released a deep fake audio in the name of Chandrababu’s wife Bhuvaneshwari on Friday.
In this video, she was found insulting Dalits with abusive language and it was widely circulated through pro-YCP social media accounts. It may be known that Bhuvaneshwari for the first time took up political tours after her husband was `illegally’ arrested in a fabricated case, in the name of `Nijam Gelavali’ tour.
This was reportedly made with the help of deep fake technology by people belonging to the ruling party to create `hatred’ against her among weaker sections, who are seen responding to her tours.
The audio has been made so that it sounds like Bhuvaneshwari’s voice to the listeners. Nowhere in this revealed where it was spoken. There are words like scolding someone excessively. Even though the YSP factions have been campaigning to insult Dalits, there is no mention of Dalits anywhere in it.
As a continuation of this audio, another video was made and released. ABN channel logo has been made on it. This video shows Chandrababu explaining that Bhuvaneshwari cursed him and not the Dalits. The news was also circulated on pro-YCP social media with the logo as broadcast by ABN channel.
The TDP leaders complained to the Chief Electoral Officer of the state on Friday about the deep fake audio issue. They pointed out that YCP is running false campaigns to mislead the Dalit voters to gain advantage in the elections.
TDP leaders Varla Ramaiah and Devineni Umamaheswara Rao filed a complaint with CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena at the Amaravati Secretariat. They alleged that this audio was circulated on the Instagram platform by an account called Jagan Connects, which is in favor of YCP, and YCP’s social media department is behind it.
They said that the social media wing of YCP is working under the leadership of Sajjala Bhargav Reddy, who is deliberately spreading such false information among the people. They demanded immediate arrest of Sajjala Bhargav Reddy who is spreading false propaganda. They strongly denied that the voice in the audio is not that of Bhuvaneshwari.
