BR Naidu, who was appointed as TTD Chairman, said that it was his idea to abolish the Srivani Trust. He asked why there is another trust when there is one big trust? He said that he wants everyone to protect the sanctity of Tirumala. He made it clear that everyone working in Tirumala should be a Hindu.
Naidu said that steps will be taken to ensure that there is no stench anywhere in Tirumala and every matter will be discussed in the board meetings and a decision will be taken. He claimed that he came with the idea of serving Sri Varu.
He said that it is not good to keep the devotees in the compartments for a long time. He said that for the last five years, no milk was given to the children in the compartments, but after the new government came, the children are being given milk and breakfast.
Naidu said that they will think about the tickets and will bring back the previous method. He made it clear that special committees will be set up on material supply and temple lands, and they will focus on the university and hospitals in Tirumala.
He said that the water in glass bottles on the hill has become a burden for the devotees and he is thinking of setting up water plants and giving free paper glasses.
Naidu said that he was very sad when Tirumala was not sanctified during the YSRCP regime. He said that in the past he used to go to Tirumala five or six times a year, but he has not been there even once in the last five years.
He said that he has already discussed all matters with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and said that he will talk to him if he comes after taking charge. He said that he has been working in TDP since 1982 and he has a lot of experience in the party as well. He said that he has been participating in several spiritual programs also and having vast contacts with Swamijis and spiritual persons. He recalled that he has established an exclusive spiritual channel `Hindu Dharma’.
