TTD is preparing to modernize the kitchen in Tirumala and install new equipment to provide quality Annaprasadam to the devotees in view of future needs. As part of this, it will enter into an agreement with TVS Motors (TVSM) to completely transform the kitchens along with mechanization of the equipment.
The first phase of the pilot project will be carried out at Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annadana Satram. During the YSRCP regime, there were large-scale complaints from devotees about Annaprasadam. When the alliance came to power, it focused on this.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, during his visit to Tirumala, advised the officials to undertake the process of automating the kitchen. As part of this, TVS representatives inspected the MTVAC, Vaikuntam Queue Complex-2, Narayangiri Sheds, queue lines on the outer ring road, the newly constructed Vakulamatha Centralized Kitchen, and Padmavathi Guest House in Tirumala on October 24 and 25.
On this occasion, the MTVAC Special Officer explained the equipment there and the Annaprasadam preparation process to the TVS representatives. TVSM has come forward to sign an MoU with TTD. MTVAC was built in 2011 to provide Annaprasadam to the devotees of Tirumala Srivari.
TVSM will provide all the necessary proposals and designs to completely modernize the Annaprasadam kitchen. It will identify the contractors who will supply the equipment and inform TTD. TVSM will look for consultants who have the expertise to completely transform the kitchen.
The organization will bear the funds for them. It will pay the cost of the project. With the availability of state-of-the-art equipment, it is possible to provide quality Annaprasadam to the devotees on time.
To improve the quality of Annadanam, the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam authorities are collecting rice from the Rice Millers Association of Telugu States. Earlier, broken, damaged, and damaged rice was accepted even if it was 47.5%. Now it has been reduced to 26.5 percent. This has created an opportunity to get quality rice.
