Growing internal dissidence against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy within the Congress party, more particularly growing discontent towards growing dominance of `Reddy’ community in the Congress government has once again surfaced with the former MP and PCC Working President Anjan Kumar Yadav making provocative remarks.
He made it clear that the caste census was done because Rahul Gandhi said it, otherwise the Reddy community would never have done the survey. He made serious allegations that if it was put on the feet, it would be put on the neck, and if it was put on the neck, it would be put on the feet, and they made the people suffer by not giving Telangana.
He was furious that they (Reddys) themselves had obstructed the caste census survey. Moreover, he asserted that Telangana came because Sonia Gandhi insisted, and the caste census was done because Rahul Gandhi took a firm decision.
Addressing the party workers at the Old MLA Quarters, Anjan Kumar Yadav made severe criticisms of the Reddy community leaders in the Congress party. He revealed that it was not sycophants who gave him the post of TPCC Waring President, but that Lalu Prasad Yadav took the initiative and told Sonia Gandhi and gave him the post.
He alleged that people from the Reddy community had obstructed him from getting the post of Union Minister twice. He was angry that Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jagga Reddy had obstructed him from being given the position of Waring President.
Anjan Kumar criticized that the Congress lost the Lok Sabha elections because they did not give him an MP ticket at a time he could win the poll, but gave it to Danam Nagender, a sitting MLA of another party. He said that V Hanmantha Rao had won only once in his life, and that too only if Yadava leaders stood by and voted for him.
He was angry that even if Reddys lost as an MLA, they would contest as MPs, but they would not give such an opportunity to others. He said that some people could not bear the fact that his son Anil was given a Rajya Sabha ticket. He demanded Yadavas should be accommodated in several other positions, apart from Rajya Sabha and priority should be given to the posts of MLCs, corporations and councilors.
