Thummala in dilemma over BRS and Congress

Sunday, December 22, 2024

The release of BRS’s candidates list by the party head KCR for the Assembly polls of 2023 that are bound to happen in the month of December has led to unrest among the BRS leaders who didn’t get the ticket this time. Already a couple of leaders left the party and are looking forward to joining Congress, and some leaders like Thummala Nageswara Rao are on the verge of leaving the party.

The ex-Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao who won as an MLA before when he was in TDP and later in BRS failed to get the ticket from Paleru this time. Deeply hurt by the decision of KCR, the leader who has a ton of followers in Paleru constituency decided to leave the party. KCR who knew the situation reportedly had a phone call with Thummala and spoke things that are unknown for now. Even after this call, the MP of Khammam, Nama Nageswara Rao who was an enemy of Thummala in the past also met the latter and had a long meeting for an hour keeping the rivalry aside. It is learned that Nama’s intervention and KCR’s phone call are making the Paleru ex-MLA think twice before leaving the party.

His followers and supporters are asking Thummala to leave BRS since he failed to get the ticket and join Telangana Congress as he would surely get the ticket there but Thummala who was about to leave the BRS is in a huge dilemma whether to leave the party or not due to Nama and KCR’s intervention.
