On the occasion of the first anniversary of the formation of the Congress government in the state, three senior ministers skipped the prestigious meeting organized by the state government in Warangal on Tuesday under the title ‘Indira Mahila Shakti-Prajapalana Vijayotsavalum’.

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, who has been distant from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy since the beginning, Tummala Nageswara Rao, who joined the Congress before the elections and became a minister, and another senior minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, did not attend the public meeting.

The Congress ranks discussed the absence of the three senior ministers from the opening ceremony of the government celebrations. Although the ‘Indira Mahila Shakti-Prajapalana Vijayotsavalum’ meeting was a government event, it resembled a Congress meeting at every step.

The top government officials forgot the minimum rules. While the ruling party leaders who did not follow protocol occupied the chairs, the public representatives and officials were embarrassed because they did not have chairs.

Although it was a Mahila Shakti meeting in name, only women representatives and senior officials were left without opportunities to sit. The Chief Secretary of the government, Shanthi Kumari, who gave the welcome speech, had a problem with no chair on the stage. Due to this, she had to go and sit aside in the back row.

Later, when the Ramagundam MLA vacated the chair, Shanthi Kumari came and sat in the front row. Greater Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudharani also faced a similar situation. She came on the stage along with CM Revanth Reddy. When she tried to sit in the front row, Congress leaders occupied the chairs. The same situation existed behind her, so she stood for a while. Later, the staff brought another chair and she sat down.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in his address expressed his impatience towards opposition leaders, warning them that if they obstruct development, they will be sent to jail. He was angry with the agitations against the demolition of poor houses in the name of Musi project and the encroachment of tribal lands in the name of Pharma City.

Revanth Reddy criticized that if Narendra Modi develops the Sabarmati River in Gujarat, Union Minister Kishan Reddy will applaud, but if Musi is developed in Hyderabad, he will stand in the way. He lamented that Prime Minister Modi, who mocked the formation of Telangana state, is a `traitor to Telangana’, and that Kishan Reddy is playing tricks on such a traitor. Kishan Reddy criticized him for being a slave to Sonia Gandhi, and said that he is ready to wash the feet of Sonia Gandhi, who gave Telangana state.
