In a shocking development from Nellore, Kovuru MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy was served a threatening letter by a masked individual demanding ₹2 crore, with a warning of fatal consequences if the demand was not met.
Reports suggest that the unidentified person first approached the residence of MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and handed the letter to his wife, who then passed it on to the MLA’s staff. Upon opening, the staff discovered the alarming threat, causing immediate concern.
The MLA and MP were promptly informed, and the police have launched a confidential investigation. Special teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspects. So far, one person from Iskapalem in Alluru mandal has been identified, while another young man, found acting suspiciously near the residence with multiple mobile phones, has been taken into custody.
