Thalapathy Vijay’s Political Journey Gains Traction: In Talks with Prashant Kishor

Friday, April 4, 2025

Tamil cinema icon Thalapathy Vijay is moving aggressively into politics by launching his newly formed party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. With the elections for the Tamil Nadu Assembly round the corner, Thalapathy Vijay has finally come out in the open announcing full-time entrance into politics. He will have to sit out from films as of now.

In a key political development, Vijay has reportedly been negotiating with top poll strategist Prashant Kishor to firm up his party’s election. Sources say early talks have indeed happened and Prashant has responded positively for a collaboration. A formal partnership is yet to be sealed though insiders believe the official partnership to happen soon.

Prashant Kishor, the master of winning electoral campaigns, has played a very significant role in historic electoral successes: from making Narendra Modi prime minister to delivering an absolute majority. This has earned him a niche among the most sought-after strategists in Indian politics.

After moving on from I-PAC, Kishor now operates independently, offering his services to select political leaders. Recently, he was spotted in discussions with TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh, signaling his increasing involvement in shaping regional political landscapes.

Following his meeting with Vijay, reports indicate that Kishor is assembling a dedicated team to support Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. A strategic roadmap is already in the works, which includes plans for a large-scale padyatra (foot march) or a statewide bus tour to strengthen Vijay’s grassroots connection with voters.

With the towering popularity of Vijay and Prashant Kishor’s proven political strategy, Tamil Nadu’s political arena is in for a big shakedown. All eyes are now on his next strategic move, as the actor-turned-politician gears up for his electoral debut.
