Telugu Cinema has transcended language and regional boundaries and went national and international.
It is inevitable that along with actors, the leading directors are also being celebrated and looked after by entire India’s movie lovers.
Speaking of directors, now a neck-to-neck competition between two top directors is creating a lot of buzz.
S S Rajamouli has occupied the numero uno chair among makers not only in Telugu but also in the entire India.
After him, directors Trivikram and Sukumar are in line for the second position. Other than Trivikram, Koratala Siva rose to the race with four consecutive hits but the recent debacle of Aacharya and not having a single one hundred crores share movie also pushed him lower.
Trivikram being the senior and also having a couple of industry hits like Attarintiki Daredi, Ala Vaikunta Puram Lo, etc is now taking the fattest paycheck after Rajamouli but he is now lacking in Pan Indian competition and it is cashed by the creative director Sukumar.
This Arya director has got his separate fanbase but he scored more duds like One-Nenokkadine, Arya-2, Nannaku Prematho, etc, and only the movie Rangasthalam ended up as an Industry hit.
However, his recent Pan-Indian success of Pushpa: The Rise and now its sequel Pushpa: The Rule has made Sukumar compete with Trivikram. So it is said that these two directors compete for the second position in Tollywood.
Movie lovers are supporting Trivikram for his success rate and his movies’ business scale rather than Sukumar but the same people are saying that unless Trivikram proves himself as a Pan-Indian director, for sure he will be replaced by Sukumar at any cost.
Trivikram has a big project with Superstar Mahesh Babu in hand and he is now rumored to be making this script on a national level to showcase his strengths of entertainment and emotions.
