Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has stated that the state government will approach the Supreme Court against Andhra Pradesh’s water projects, alleging unilateral decisions that violate regulations. He expressed concerns that projects like the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation and Banakacharla could adversely affect Telangana, impacting both irrigation and drinking water supply.
Fine Rice Distribution Receives Strong Response
Describing the fine rice distribution initiative as a historic decision, Uttam Kumar Reddy highlighted its widespread acceptance, with nearly 80% of economically weaker sections benefiting from the scheme. He urged public representatives to visit beneficiaries’ homes and partake in meals as part of the initiative.
He also announced that on Sri Rama Navami, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will dine at a beneficiary’s residence in Bhadrachalam. The minister directed officials to ensure transparency in the rice distribution process, preventing any irregularities.
