Telangana High Court Extends Interim Relief To KTR In Formula E Case

Friday, January 3, 2025

The Telangana High Court has extended interim relief to BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in the Formula E car race case, directing authorities not to arrest him until the verdict is delivered.

KTR had filed a quash petition seeking the dismissal of the FIR registered against him. During today’s proceedings, senior Supreme Court advocate Siddharth Dave represented KTR, while Advocate General Sudarshan Reddy argued on behalf of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The High Court, after hearing detailed arguments from both sides, reserved its judgment and extended the interim orders preventing KTR’s arrest.

Earlier, the court had issued similar orders on December 30, allowing the ACB to continue its investigation and directing them to file a counter within 10 days. The next hearing, initially scheduled for December 27, was deferred to December 31. Following today’s arguments, the judgment was reserved.
