The Panjagutta police have registered cases against 11 celebrities and social media influencers for allegedly promoting betting apps. Among them, actress and influencer Vishnupriya was issued a notice to appear for questioning. In response, she appeared before the police on March 20 and is scheduled for a second round of questioning on March 25.
Seeking relief, Vishnupriya filed a petition in the Telangana High Court to quash the two FIRs registered against her. However, during the hearing, the court declined to dismiss the FIRs and directed her to cooperate with the police investigation. Additionally, the court instructed law enforcement authorities to conduct the inquiry in accordance with legal procedures.
