Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the installation of CCTV cameras at various lakes to monitor and prevent encroachments. This directive was issued during a review meeting focused on the Musi River Front Development and Metro Rail projects.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for officials to gather information on the impoverished populations residing near the encroached lakes and drainage areas. He instructed them to provide double-bedroom houses or suitable alternatives for these individuals. The review included participation from relevant officials and the Hyderabad Commissioner.
In a significant development, the state government has announced the allocation of 16,002 double-bedroom houses to individuals displaced by the Musi development project. An assessment identified 10,200 individuals who may be affected by the project. On Wednesday, officials plan to conduct door-to-door visits to inform displaced individuals about the housing allocations. Furthermore, arrangements are being made for the rehabilitation of those residing in the Musi buffer zone, alongside compensation for affected structures.
