Telangana Government Develops ‘Films In Telangana’ Portal For Streamlined Approvals

Tuesday, December 9, 2025

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is developing a dedicated website, ‘Films in Telangana’, aimed at providing all necessary clearances for the film industry through a single-window system. The portal is intended to simplify the process of obtaining permissions for film shootings and theater operations across the state, making it easier for filmmakers to navigate regulatory requirements.

A special workshop was held in Hyderabad on Monday, bringing together officials from relevant departments and representatives of the film industry to discuss the development of the portal. Telangana FDC Chairman Dil Raju, FDC Managing Director C.H. Priyanka, Tourism Corporation MD Valluru Kranthil, and senior officials from various departments attended the session.

Speaking at the event, Dil Raju said, “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is actively supporting the growth of the film industry in Telangana. The industry should fully utilise this opportunity. International filmmakers can now obtain approvals for shooting locations and departmental clearances through this portal with just a script. We are also introducing an online system for issuing B-Forms required for managing cinema theaters, which were previously issued in cities by police commissioners and in districts by additional collectors. Going forward, all such approvals will be processed online in coordination with the Home Department.”

Raju further stated that the website will provide comprehensive information on technical personnel required for film production, as well as details of hotels available across Telangana cities. Officials and film industry representatives were requested to provide suggestions and feedback to refine the portal. Once fully developed, the website will be formally launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with Minister for Cinematography Komatireddy Venkata Reddy.
