Hyderabad: Following the High Court’s verdict on BC reservations in local body elections, the Telangana State Election Commission has made a crucial decision. It announced that the recently issued notification for conducting the local body elections has been suspended. The Commission clarified that this move was made in compliance with the directions issued by the High Court.
It further stated that the implementation of the election code and the process of filing nominations have also been put on hold. The Election Commission confirmed that all election-related activities will remain suspended until the issuance of a fresh notification.
