Telangana Congress senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at the camp office in Mangalagiri. During the meeting, Hanumantha Rao urged that Kurnool district be named after former Chief Minister Damodaram Sanjivayya.
Highlighting Sanjivayya’s contributions as the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh and Union Minister, Hanumantha Rao emphasized his role in implementing social pensions and introducing various welfare measures for workers. He also requested the construction of a memorial in Sanjivayya’s name.
In response, Pawan Kalyan assured Hanumantha Rao that he would bring the matter to the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu. As part of the meeting, he felicitated Hanumantha Rao with a shawl and presented him with a Vinayaka idol. Pawan Kalyan also received and reviewed the memorandum submitted during the discussion.
