The current situation inside the party wing of Telangana BJP seemed to be confused and bewildered by the new change of leadership. Sacking Bandi Sanjay and replacing him with Kishan Reddy is like BJP stabbing itself to bleed, opine political experts.
If we look back at the elections of 2018, the whole fight went between the ruling party BRS and the Congress-led Maha Kutami in which BRS managed to regain power in Telangana. BJP was just a third wheel in the state with not much hope. As soon as Bandi Sanjay took charge as the President, he gave nightmares to KCR and used a language even the Kalvakuntla family got scared of. With walkathons and many public meetings, Sanjay avenged both BRS and Congress, especially he fought verbally with young and dynamic leaders like KTR, Revanth Reddy, and a few others to push the party from a dull stage to a potential winner of the 2023 general polls. At this juncture, the BJP National Head Nadda replaced Bandi Sanjay with the soft-spoken Kishan Reddy and this is going to cost a lot for them in the elections.
Meanwhile, an interesting theory is in circulation among Telangana Political circles. According to them, KCR who is slamming Modi might join the NDA post the general polls and will also support Modi in the Parliament elections of 2024 so the BJP has a secret pact with the KCR by softening the power of BJP locally in Telangana with a gentle leader like Kishan Reddy.
