Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao accused Congress leaders of indulging in black marketing of Urea sent by central government for the farmers.
Addressing party workers at state party headquarters, who arrived from Makthal assembly constituency of Narayanpet district, he asked them to expose Congress government’s misdeeds, including creating artificial Urea scarcity, as local elections are around the corner.
He made it clear that it was the responsibility of the state government to check causes of scarcity despite supply of additional Urea by the central government. He wondered why the government has failed to ensure sufficient supply of Urea to fertiliser shops and what are the causes of scarcity as blamed by the state Congress government?
He reiterated that Narendra Modi-led central government has supplied over 12 lakh metric tonne of Urea fertiliser to Telangana despite demand of only 9 lakh metric tonne by the Revanth Reddy government. He deplored that it was unfortunate that Congress government is not supplying adequate Urea to even cotton grower as Makthal area is known for cotton crops.
Rao asked party workers to work diligently from ward to ZPTC level in coming local body elections. Emphasising the need for unity between workers and leaders, the BJP chief said people have confidence in our party and the situation is in our favour, he said and called upon party workers to work hard unitedly to help the party to come to power. Leaders of Makthal area pledged to work for the victory of the party In coming local body elections as well as assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Ramchandra Rao will visit the combined Mahabubnagar district on July 27 and 28, with the aim of mobilizing the BJP ranks in view of the upcoming local body elections. During this two-day tour, the State President will hold meetings with the BJP ranks and give directions on the future activities of the party. Mahabubnagar MP and BJP national vice president Smt. DK Aruna, beside other leaders will participate in this tour.
