Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu declared an important decision relating to the annual Maha Nadu event at its foundation day. This year, there will be a Maha Nadu event at Kadapa, the home district of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP. He announced this decision in his politburo meeting, which he conducted at TDP’s central office in Mangalagiri on some significant issues.
This decision to host Maha Nadu in Kadapa is seen as a strategic political move by Naidu. The TDP had a strong influence in Kadapa during the tenure of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the region has been largely dominated by YSRCP under Jagan’s leadership. However, in the recent elections, TDP managed a remarkable comeback in Kadapa, along with several other regions. By choosing Kadapa as the venue for Maha Nadu, Naidu intends to further solidify TDP’s presence and strengthen its position in the district.
In addition to the event’s location, the Politburo has decided that the party’s internal organizational elections will be completed before Maha Nadu, and new state and national committees will be elected during the event. The meeting also discussed the need for corrections in the state’s district divisions, which were seen as flawed. Furthermore, the meeting, which lasted over three hours, focused on assigning key roles to Minister Nara Lokesh, with most members agreeing that these decisions should be finalized at the Maha Nadu event.
