TDP has suspended its Satyavedu MLA Adimulam soon after a women activist alleged him of resorting to sexual assault against her. In a press meet in Hyderabad, Satyavedu Telugu Mahila president released videos related his sexual assault.
The victim accused the MLA of sexually harassing the woman president of Satyavedu constituency. She said that she has already written a letter to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, as well as Minister Nara Lokesh. She said that Adimulam threatened to kill her if she told anyone. She demanded that all such people should be suspended from the party.
She also warned other TDP women leaders not to allow him to visit their houses. Adimulam, earlier YCP MLA, joined TDP just before elections and became its MLA. When he was YCP MLA, the women leaders held several political activities against him.
During the election she opposed TDP leadership’s decision to field him as the party’s candidate. But, later participated in his election campaign. After winning the election, she accused him of sexually harassing her. She alleged that after becoming an MLA, he repeatedly called her and harassed her to satisfy his sexual desires.
On 6th of this year, she alleged that he called her to a hotel in Tirupati and raping her. And also threatened to kill her children if she revealed the matter and then again on July 17, he raped her again.
Due to MLA’s repeated phone calls, she said her husband got suspicious and she revealed everything to him. She said on her husband’s suggestion she filmed the videos herself to reveal the original nature of the MLA on August 10.
After that, she said that she took them to the attention of the party and lodged a complaint with the party leadership. She revealed that she had recorded it on a pen camera so that everyone would know about the true colors of the MLA.
According to her, the MLA has called her 100 times. She said that he would send messages at night and harass her. She accused that MLA used to enjoy with one girl a day and thus tortured many beautiful girls he found.
