TDP silence over Jagan’s `Revanth A Hotline Between Chandrababu- Rahul’ comment

Silence from TDP circles over former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s accusations that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been performing as `hoteline’ communication channel between AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Congress `supreme leader’ Rahul Gandhi has been leading to prediction over possible emergence of new political combinations in the state.

While strongly accusing `fraudulent election’ management in Pulivendula during ZPTC by-election, Jagan asked Rahul Gandhi why he was not speaking on `vote theft’ in Andhra Pradesh, but raising his voice all over the country? At the same time, he remained silent over Rahul Gandhi’s `vote theft’ accusations against the Election Commission of India.

Incidentally, both Sakshi media and Eenadu media also remain silent over Rahul Gandhi’s Vote theft’ allegations, but give top priority to news reports which blame Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. This has been giving clear indications that both TDP and YSRCP are not ready to criticize BJP and moreover fear any association with Congress may attract ire of BJP’s national leadership.

By criticizing Rahul Gandhi, political observers felt Jaganmohan Reddy tried to indicate to the BJP national leadership that he would be a more `trustworthy’ partner for it, more than Chandrababu Naidu, who may be never found to be `trustworthy’ to anyone. Though Naidu has emerged as the crucial partner of NDA for the survival of Narendra Modi-led government at the center, Jagan repeatedly warned BJP that he may not hesitate to `back stab’ at a crucial time.

Meanwhile, in ZPTC by-elections both BJP and Jana Sena remained silent and hardly their leaders or cadre took part in the campaign. Only Jammalamadugu BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy, a former TDP minister and whose grudge against Jaganmohan Reddy at personal level is well known, took crucial role in defeating YSRCP candidate in Pulivendula.

After two days of results, only Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan referred to Jagan’s allegations of ‘vote theft’. But, both Jana Sena and BJP leaders hardly congratulated TDP’s victory there. TDP leaders felt that Jaganmohan Reddy’s clout with the BJP’s top leadership helped him in preventing progress in former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case and CBI and ED cases against himself.
