Welcoming the arrest of senior IPS officer and former intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu in Mumbai actress Jethwani’s case by AP CID, senior TDP MLA Dhulipala Narendra accused Anjaneyulu of acting like ‘YSR Anjaneyu’ with arrogance of power during the previous government regime.
Stating that the arrest of PSR Anjaneyulu is proof that no one is above the law, he expressed his anger and said that PSR Anjaneyulu is the reason for the tears of many women and is a person who has darkened the future of the youth of the state.
He deplored that he had seen how he used his power to arrest and harass not only leaders of the Telugu Desam Party, but also people who had differences with him in the past, women, using his power under false cases.
Narendra lamented that he used his unlimited power to threaten many people and went beyond his jurisdiction and fabricated illegal cases and committed abuse of power. He said that the previous government had witnessed a situation where as the APPSC secretary he was involved in irregularities in the examination papers and instead of talented students, he gave priority to the corrupt.
Narendra expressed concern that for the first time, the people of the state had seen a police officer who misused his power and engaged in illegal activities. Dhulipala said that this arrest has made it clear that officers who misuse their power cannot escape the law.
Meanwhile, the AP CID police arrested PSR Anjaneyulu on Tuesday morning in Moinabad, Rangareddy district and brought him to the CID office in Vijayawada. The CID police brought several key documents along with PSR. Another case has been registered against PSR Anjaneyulu in the Guntur CID PS for threatening KR Suryanarayana, the president of the AP Government Employees Association, with a gun.
CID police conducted searches at PSR’s house in Moinabad, Rangareddy district on Monday. Noticing this, PSR went to his close relatives’ house in Begumpet. CID arrested Anjaneyulu at 5 am from there and took him to his farmhouse in Moinabad and searches were conducted. Subsequently, Seetharamanjaneyulu was taken to AP at 8:30 am.
