YSRCP MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy at the Nellore SP office. Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy has filed a police complaint at the district SP office alleging that YSRCP former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy made inappropriate comments against her. She deplored that Prasanna Kumar Reddy had personally abused her with obscene language.
She has filed a written complaint with the ASP and has requested the police to take legal action against Prasanna and arrest him. Meanwhile, Telugu women have filed a complaint against Nallapureddy to AP Women’s Commission Chairperson Rayapati Shailaja and requested that action be taken against Nallapureddy who has spoken in a derogatory manner against women.
Women’s Commission Chairperson Shailaja was furious that Nallapureddy’s words are derogatory to women and are making the civil society bow down. She expressed her anger that it is despicable to speak in a manner that insults women and belittles their personality while being a public representative. She said that looking down on women and making derogatory comments should be considered a conspiracy to damage the dignity of women.
Shailaja warned that there is no point in ignoring those who violate the dignity of women in the state, no matter how many people they are. She made it clear that the Women’s Commission is taking the comments made by Prasanna Kumar Reddy seriously and will investigate and take legal action.
Sarvepalli MLA and former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy was extremely angry at former minister Nallapureddy and deplored that Prasanna has always been opportunistic, and that it is Prasanna’s habit to leave things as they are, praise and curse, and then hold his legs. He said that Nallapureddy has tarnished the family name.
He alleged that Prasanna’s comments are not only political but also society will not accept them. He recalled that in 1996, when he was in Lakshmi Parvathi’s party said that he would go to Chandrababu’s house and beat him. But, he said that after the elections, he came with Jaya Prada and held Chandrababu’s legs.
Somireddy criticized that Kakani and Prasanna did not look at each other’s faces when they were in power for five years and that when Kakani went to jail, he visited their homes and consulted them. Nellore Rural constituency MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy was furious over Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s obscene comments. He alleged speaking like that he only exposed his own culture.
