Wednesday, December 18, 2024
Prominent filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has faced several legal cases in Andhra Pradesh, with police issuing notices for his appearance. However, Varma has failed to attend the investigation, leading authorities to search for him. In response, TDP leader Buddha Venkanna criticized the director and former Chief Minister YS Jagan.
Venkanna accused Varma of making reckless statements with the backing of the previous government and now hiding due to the ongoing cases. He also claimed that Varma had produced films aimed at insulting TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, further criticizing YS Jagan for defending the filmmaker without any shame.
The TDP leader also took aim at Jagan, alleging that he has damaged Andhra Pradesh’s reputation internationally and branding him as the “ambassador of corruption.” Venkanna suggested that Varma’s controversial posts on social media were directed by Jagan, claiming that the posts originated from Tadepalli Palace.
In his remarks, Buddha Venkanna likened Varma to “barking” while accusing Jagan of “singing the chorus.”
