Kolikipudi Srinivasa Rao, who came into fame by playing an active role in Amaravati farmers tirade against discriminative attitude of former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, luckily became MLA from Tiruvuru reserved constituency in Krishna district. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as a token gesture towards Amaravati farmers, has given him an opportunity to become party MLA, though he was never associated with the party.
However, after became MLA, his attitude and controversial remarks made the party defensive. Most TDP leaders in the constituency are unable to digest his attitude. Even local media personnel directly complained against him to the Chief Minister.
Now, his controversial comments against farmers are sending the wrong signals among strong supporters of the ruling party. He abused them stating that they don’t have faith towards the party, that even dogs show.
Earlier Chityala Sarpanch Tummalapalli Srinivasa Rao’s wife tried to commit suicide after he allegedly abused her. This has created uproar in the constituency. Tiruvuru TDP leaders staged dharnas in protest against the behavior of the MLA. They also complained against him to the party leadership and sought a probe into his abusive behaviour.
Became angry for complaining against him, speaking at a meeting the MLA bursted his impatience towards farmers. Kolikipudi reminded me that before the announcement of the election results, he invested lakhs of rupees and cleared silt in the irrigation canals. He said that he did it all for the sake of the farmers.
However, he questioned that not a single farmer came with him today. He commented that dogs have faith.. but some do not. Kolikipudi emphasized the same word once or twice. The video of this has now gone viral on social media.
Chityala Sarpanch Tummalapalli Srinivasa Rao recently alleged that Thiruvuru MLA Kolikipudi Srinivasa Rao not only abused him indiscriminately but also sent 20 men to attack him. It is stated that his wife Kavitha attempted suicide by swallowing sleeping pills knowing this.
He alleged that apart from himself, the ranks of TDP in Tiruvuru were being insulted with harsh language. As a result a wide gap took place between him and the TDP cadre.
