The ruling Telugu Desam Party has reacted severely to the brutal killing of a young man Sheikh Rasheed with knives on the footpath at Mundlamuru bus stand in Vinukonda on Wednesday night and blames it as an act of YCP goons. But, it deplored that the YCP leaders are attempting to pass on blames to the TDP cadre.
Lamenting that YCP has the habit of blaming TDP whatever bad has happened like blaming Chandrababu Naidu for killing own uncle at 3 AM. “No matter who does wrong… every wrongdoer should be punished severely. The aim of our government is to discredit these YCP psychos who have been raging for 5 years, stop the use of ganja and stop the atrocities committed by the YCP psychos,” said the TDP in a post on X platform.
It has been stated that the Sheikh Rashid, who was killed and the killer Sheikh Jilani both belong to YCP and both of them are the main followers of YCP local leader PS Khan, who is known as a goon in Vinukonda. It was said that this PS Khan was the main follower of Jaganmohan Reddy.
Meanwhile YCP is trying to push Sheikh Rasheed’s murder on the Telugu Desam Party. To this extent, it started misinformation on social media. YCP tagged President Draupathi Murmu and put up a post on X platform on Thursday morning asking to save Andhra Pradesh.
It is said that both victim and killer were friends and followers of another notorious goon and attached to the YCP. Before the elections, some sharp differences arose between the two, which are said to have led to the present murder.
The killer, Sheikh Rashid (25), was coming out of the government liquor store near Mundlamuru bus stand. At the same time his former friend, Sheikh Jilani indiscriminately attacked him with a knife. He hit his hands, head and neck with a knife. Rashid’s hand fell on the road.
