TDP has lodged a complaint with the Central Election Commission of India (ECI) against Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy in the wake of land grabbing allegations. It demanded to immediately remove him as Chief Secretary and to order a CBI investigation.
In a letter submitted to ECI by TDP former MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, TDP alleged that CS Jawahar Reddy had violated the election code in favor of the ruling YSRCP. He said that all th opposition parties expressed doubts whether the election counting process will be done smoothly if Jawahar Reddy is the CS.
TDP reminded the previous complaint that Jawahar Reddy as the Chief Secretary can not conduct the elections in a fair and transparent manner. Ravindra Kumar said that the Chief Secretary used to get information from officers on available lands under GO 596 and influenced them to get registration of such lands.
Under these circumstances, he feared if Jawahar Reddy is the CS, there is a risk of influencing the counting of votes and the declaration of results. In its letter TDP explained thathow CS has taken steps to release funds to pay the bills of ruling party contractors and taking decisions in favor of YSRCP by violating code.
He recalled that many complaints have already been made against him. On the other hand, serious allegations are already coming against CS Jawahar Reddy. TDP leaders are alleging that CS has acquired hundreds of acres with the help of YSRCP leaders.
It is said that the authorities did not take any action even though they filed a complaint along with the evidence. Recently TDP leader Bonda Uma said that CS Jawahar Reddy looted lands worth Rs 2,000 crore rupees in Bhogapuram Mandal with the help of CM Jagan and his relatives.
