T-Minister threatening comments on Andhra settlers

Friday, November 22, 2024

Ahead of the Telangana state elections, the minister of the ruling party has made threatening comments on Andhra settlers which has sparked a new controversy in the state.

Hyderabad city has a large number of settlers and their vote count can make a huge impact on any party. Most of the settlers belong to Andhra and Rayalaseema regions and the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu in the Andhra Pradesh has led to the protest of various IT employees in this region. Despite the ruling party being tight-lipped about this, the Andhra settlers have made an impact by staging their protest through rallies.

This didn’t go well with many in the ruling party but the Telangana minister Gangula Kamalakar has taken a step forward and threatened them saying that they will throw the Andhra settlers out of the state if they support the Congress party. Not stopping there, he has once again revoked Andhra-Telangana sentiment and stated that the Andhra people were trying to re-enter the Telangana state by using the Congress party. Kamalakar’s direct comments addressing the Andhra settlers will definitely show an impact on the ruling party BRS.

As the election schedule is released, the election code is in place and these kinds of threatening comments are strictly not allowed as per the rules of the election commission. Have to wait and see how EC reacts to his comments.
