The Congress wing of Telangana is gaining momentum under the leadership of dynamic leader Revanth Reddy and has the potential to form a government if the anti-incumbency is used better by the party. In this regard, a key congress leader has begun the most successful formula in politics, Operation Akarsh.
Politics is a game of seats and no one knows when an MLA or MP jumps from one party to another to make a certain difference in making or breaking governments. In the name of Operation Akarsh, leaders tend to attract the most successful leaders of opposition parties to strengthen their parties with nominated posts or packages. The newly joined ex-MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has started the dirty work for Telangana Congress. After conducting a successful public meeting in Khammam alongside ex-Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, the leader who is taking an active part in T-Congress started attracting leaders from BRS and BJP. It is reported that Ponguleti is in touch with the BJP leader Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy as the latter is not happy with the BJP circles, especially after the change in new leadership.
Sources close to the T-Congress reiterate that Ponguleti has met with Komatireddy and almost finalized the change of party. With this, Congress is gaining momentum just before the general elections of Telangana which will commence at the end of this year
