The MP of Bhuvanagiri, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy sought the appointment of Indian Prime Minister Modi tomorrow. Amidst this meeting, there are speculations regarding his shift in loyalties from Telangana Congress to the BJP.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is one of the key leaders of Congress in Telangana and post-bifurcation, he expected nominal posts within the steering committee. His distress started when the Party heads made Revanth Reddy the Chief of TPCC instead of him and it amplified when Revanth was not replaced by him post the defeat of Congress in the Munugode bypolls. Reddy met with the current Indian National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and expressed his disinterest in not appointing him to any better position within the party.
Now the MP got Modi’s appointment and everyone is in a belief that he would discuss his possible future aspirations if he joins BJP by leaving congress. However, the TPCC head office claims that Reddy is meeting the PM as any other Member of Parliament meets their Prime Minister only to discuss the development activities of his constituency Bhuvanagiri. One has to wait until this meeting to get full clarity.
