Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that special programs have been launched under the name ‘Swarna Gram Panchayat’ to ensure cc roads in every village and own house to every poor person. Participating in the Gram Sabha of Vanapalli village in Ambedkar Konaseema district on Friday, he recalled that Gram Sabhas are being held in 13,326 villages across the state.
He said that permission has been taken for Rs.4,500 crore works under NREGA this year and it is the government’s responsibility to provide work for 100 days under NREGA. The CM said that 84 lakh families will get work this year under this scheme.
The Chief Minister said that they have launched a regime that will give justice to the poor people. He asserted that national development is possible only if the villages are developed. CM Chandrababu said that 2014-19 is the golden age for village development. The women of the Dwakra communities were troubled by the previous government and those who went to the YSRCP meetings were not allowed to go out.
The CM said that the role of Sarpanchi is crucial in village development. He accused that under the YSRCP government, NREGA funds went into the pockets of the leaders. He said that 27,444 kilometers of cement roads have been laid between 2014-19.
CM Chandrababu promised that cement roads will be laid in every village in the next five years. He assured that the government will take the responsibility of building houses for the poor in the villages. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide electricity and safe drinking water to the houses.
He said that development of the state will be possible only if the YSRCP ghost is completely buried. CM Chandrababu explained that he is always thinking about how to provide employment to the unemployed youth.
