Veteran actor Mohan Babu has been granted anticipatory bail by the Supreme Court in a case related to an alleged assault on a TV journalist. This decision shields him from immediate arrest, bringing a major relief to the actor.
The incident reportedly occurred on December 10, 2024, at his Jalpally Farmhouse, where Mohan Babu allegedly attacked a journalist over a question. Following the altercation, a case was promptly registered against him. The actor initially sought anticipatory bail from the Telangana High Court, but his plea was denied.
Undeterred, Mohan Babu approached the Supreme Court, which reviewed his petition and ruled in his favor, granting him bail today.
The controversy unfolds amid ongoing tensions within the Manchu family. In December, the family’s internal disputes became public when his son, Manchu Manoj, staged a protest outside Mohan Babu’s residence. The journalist assault case further escalated the situation, keeping the veteran actor in the spotlight.
