New Delhi: The Supreme Court, led by a bench headed by Justice Abhay Oka, conducted a hearing on Friday regarding a petition seeking the cancellation of bail granted to YCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in an assets case. After considering arguments from both sides, the court adjourned the matter for further hearing on January 10.
The petition, filed by former MP and current MLA Raghurama Krishnam Raju, alleges that Jagan has been influencing witnesses in the assets case and violating bail conditions. Citing these concerns, the petitioner urged the court to revoke Jagan’s bail to ensure a fair trial.
Jagan, who was arrested in connection with the case and spent 19 months in jail, has been out on bail for an extended period, which the petitioner claims could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation.
