Srujan Reddy Files Criminal Case Against KTR In Nampally Court

Saturday, November 23, 2024

Former Minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) is facing legal trouble as businessman Sudini Srujan Reddy has filed a criminal petition against him in the Nampally Special Court. Srujan Reddy alleges that KTR made baseless accusations linking him to irregularities in the Amrut tender process.

In his plea, Srujan Reddy stated that the company under question is Shodha Constructions, which was incorporated in 2011 and is operated by its MD, Kandal Deepti Reddy. He further said that he has no stake or interest in the company. Reddy also accused KTR of using false allegations with malice to mislead the public.

Addressing KTR’s claims, Srujan Reddy highlighted that Shodha Constructions holds a mere 29% stake in the AMR-Shodha-IHP joint venture under Amrut 2’s Package 1, contrary to KTR’s assertion of 80%. He also emphasized that the tenders were awarded transparently through an e-Tender process, adhering to all procedural guidelines.

Srujan Reddy alleged that despite being well-versed in the tendering process, KTR made these accusations to tarnish his reputation. He noted that he had previously issued legal notices to KTR, but with no resolution, he decided to escalate the matter by filing a criminal petition.

On Monday, the Nampally Special Court will hear the case and record the statement of Srujan Reddy. Meanwhile, KTR’s stance has been maintained by saying that he is not deterred by any legal threats and is preparing to fight against corruption and malpractice in politics. This case will definitely send ripples in Telangana politics.
